Born from the Zalando ecosystem, ZEOS is more than logistics. It is an operating system that combines advanced infrastructure with powerful software to help brands move, store, and deliver products across Europe with seamless precision.

When ZEOS wanted to present its vision to partners and visitors at trade fairs, they chose an unexpected path. Instead of relying on static demonstrations, they reached out to ROCANI to bring their world of fulfillment to life.

The result was a digital twin visualization that turned logistics into an immersive digital experience, a living demonstration of coordination, speed, and scale within an interactive storytelling environment.

Our starting point was ZEOS’s six core logistics stations. We studied footage, spoke with their team, and mapped workflows until we understood the heartbeat of the system.

In the face of so much complexity, we built a visual language inspired by clean industrial lines, stripping elements down to their essentials to emphasize flow and function. At the same time, we knew the experience had to feel approachable, not mechanical.

The balance was key: accuracy in process, but playfulness in experience. We wanted people not just to see how logistics works, but to explore it with a sense of curiosity. Complexity became choreography — an example of interactive storytelling and logistics innovation design.

Each station was rebuilt in 3D motion design, brought to life through animation that showed products moving through the network. Stylized characters kept people at the center, reflecting ZEOS’s inclusive culture and human-driven vision.

The experience was deployed as a Web AR experience, launched instantly by scanning a QR code. AR experience design offered visitors the freedom to explore on their own terms, zooming in and rotating through the stations at their own pace. Instead of being told how logistics works, they uncovered it piece by piece — a playful expression of immersive spatial design that merged precision with discovery.

To go further, we expanded the project into a VR brand showcase, where visitors stepped inside ZEOS’s digital twin, with conveyors looping around them and stations unfolding in every direction. Seeing it in full 3D was like walking into the operating system itself.

Through immersive digital storytelling and creative technology, logistics became something to experience, not explain — transforming function into emotion, process into story.

“Logistics Unpacked” transformed ZEOS’s processes into an intuitive, human-centered journey. The AR and VR replicas became a centerpiece at trade shows, proving to be more than an exhibition tool. They established a new way for ZEOS to communicate its vision — a creative technology partnership built on interaction, clarity, and emotion.

What began as an AR experience design project evolved into an immersive user experience that redefined how logistics and innovation are presented. It demonstrated how engagement through design and digital innovation can turn industrial systems into meaningful brand storytelling.

For us, this project was more than a build. It was a collaboration with a company redefining logistics itself. ZEOS isn’t simply moving boxes; it’s orchestrating complexity across Europe, merging infrastructure and intelligence into one seamless system.

Our role was to make that orchestration visible — to translate hidden operations into an experience that feels clear, human, and inspiring. As a digital experience design studio, we see projects like this as proof that creative technology can turn precision into poetry and motion into meaning.
